House Washing.

A finished, photograph-ready exterior — without high-pressure damage.

Soft-wash technique for every type of siding. Removes dirt, mildew, and the green algae that creep in over Alabama summers.

House washing is the work that gets a home looking like itself again. Vinyl, brick, stucco, painted siding, Hardie board — every type of exterior holds onto dirt, mildew, and the green-black algae that slowly take over north-facing walls in central Alabama. We use a soft-wash technique that lifts all of it, gently, without forcing water into seams or stripping paint.

i.

Surfaces we wash

Vinyl siding. Painted wood siding. Brick. Stucco. Hardie board. Stone veneer. Aluminum. Cedar shake. Log homes (with care). If it's on the outside of your house, we have a process for it.

ii.

What we look for

Algae streaks. Mildew. Wasp nests. Spider webs. Pollen and oak tassel buildup. Bird droppings. Red clay splash from the rain. The general grime that builds between cleanings.

iii.

What we don't do

We don't blast siding with a wand at 3,000 PSI. That's how seams open up, paint chips, and water gets behind the cladding. Slower is better.

FAQ

How often should I wash my house?
Once a year is the right rhythm in central Alabama. Heavy tree cover or full-shade walls may want every 9–12 months. Sun-baked, well-ventilated walls can stretch to 18.
How much does house washing cost?
A typical single-story 2,000 sqft home runs $250–$400. Two-story homes, $400–$650. Quotes are free — we measure on site.
Can you wash a painted house?
Yes, and we should. Soft washing lifts grime without lifting paint. We adjust pressure based on the age and type of the paint.
Will it damage my windows or screens?
No. We rinse windows clean as part of the wash and check screens after. Window cleaning as a standalone service is a separate add-on if you want it.
Do I need to be home?
Not necessarily. Most clients leave a hose bib accessible and a phone number to text if anything comes up.
